Warm days, daylight lasting late into the evening, time to slow down, vacations, family reunions...ah, summer is almost here. Along with all of the wonderful things summer brings, our routines are the thing that usually fall by the wayside. Oftentimes, our Bible reading and time with the Lord go out right with our routines. It isn't always intentional, and sometimes we don't even realize it's happening. Can you relate to this?
Our time in God's Word, getting to know who He is and His will for our lives is a vital and essential part of our lives as Christian women. This article explains the importance of spending time in the Bible well and will encourage and challenge you. In Deut. 32:47 Moses prepared the entire nation of Israel to enter the Promised Land by reminding them, "For it [God's Word] is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land..." It is the same for us today! The Bible is God's Word to us so we can know who He is, what He has promised, and live as He has called us to while we are on earth. For Christians, the words in the Bible are our very life.
So what is your plan for spending time in God's Word this summer? Do you have a plan? Are you looking for a way to study the Bible? LifePoint has three opportunities for you consider.
